May/ June Newsletter
Hello, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Let me start out by apologizing for the lengthy delay in getting this out to you. Shortly after our last newsletter was sent out, we received a call from our landlady informing us that the house we’ve been renting was getting put up for sale. We immediately started looking for somewhere else to move that was in our price range. Although we didn’t look forward to the thought of moving, we knew that God would provide the right housing in His perfect time. At the beginning of July, we were able to sign the lease on a townhouse that has cheaper rent, and is closer to where I work. Praise the Lord! We will be moving the last weekend of July.
Getting back to where our last letter left off, May was a great month for us personally. We had some friends visit us in the middle of the month. It is always a blessing to fellowship with old friends in Christ! At church, we had first time visitors 3 weeks in a row, including a couple visiting from Massachusetts. Praise God!! On May 23rd, our church surprised Keri and I with a card and cake, for our anniversary. We were blessed by their thoughtfulness. God has truly blessed us with a wonderful group of people! On Memorial Day, we had a party celebrating Joshua’s 4th birthday. Following the party, Keri and the kids went back to Waynesburg with our parents, to visit everyone there.
June 2nd was our first Bible Study. We had 3 people attend. Following that first week, everyone decided that Thursday nights would work better. Since then we have averaged 6-8 people each week. Praise the Lord!
Our church celebrated our 1 year anniversary on July 4th. It is wonderful to look back and see how far we’ve come. We started out with only our family of 4, and now we run an average of 20 people each Sunday. We are encouraged each week by what God has done, and we continue to look forward to seeing what He has planned for our future.
Please pray for us as we are preparing to move. I also ask that you to pray for me at the end of August. My work is flying me to Texas for a managers conference. I will be leaving early in the morning on the 29th, and will be back sometime Thursday afternoon. My dad will be preaching services for me that Sunday. I really don’t like to fly, so please pray that God gets me through it. I know He will.
Thank you, again, for all of your prayers and support.
